Our first NYFW was chaotic but definitely one for the books. Our KIJIBAE team had the opportunity to have our gel nail strips designs be featured in Kim Shui’s SS26 New York Fashion Week Show this past weekend.
While our team has worked endlessly to make sure everything was prepped and can be executed perfectly, we can proudly say that we loved how everything turned out for being NYFW newbies.
For those who aren’t familiar with New York Fashion Week (NYFW), it is a fashion industry event which allows designers the opportunity to showcase their new collections for the first time. These events take place in September for Spring/Summer collections and in February for Fall/Winter collections. While September is historically on the larger scale for these events, it was definitely an experience that we can never forget. We had the opportunity to work alongside our new Creative Director, Sojin Oh (@sojinails on Instagram), and her team to ensure our designs were prepped and ready before hitting the runway.
Bringing Kijibae to New York Fashion Week was more than just a milestone—it was proof that Korean beauty innovation belongs on global stages. We’ve always believed DIY nails could be elevated, and now we’ve shown that even nail strips can walk the runway.
